TCU Campus Minister

“As a campus minister, my job would not be possible without the generosity of others. The Ruelas Family has consistently been one of my most encouraging supporters. Not only have they supported me financially, but they have offered emotional support, excitement about my ministry, and guidance along the way. Because of their support, I get to minister to students on the college campus every day!”

UTEP Spirit Program

Scholarship — Athletics

The RKR Family Foundation made a four-year, $40,000 commitment to the UTEP Spirit and Cheer program in honor of Katie Ruelas, who was a cheerleader there. The funds support students who miss work shifts for games, cover uniforms, and provide general program support.

Outcome: Ongoing four-year commitment providing $10,000 per year. Multiple student cheerleaders kept in school and supported through the program.

Melanie Farkas

Ministry Support

“My son was hospitalized 15 times in one year with seizures, and I left my position as director of a youth nonprofit to care for him full-time. The gift from the Ruelas Foundation was critical—it stabilized our situation during one of the hardest seasons of our lives so I could focus on getting him the best medical care. Today, my passion is training and sending people of all ages to share the gospel and make disciples, from their neighborhoods to the ends of the earth. Because my position requires me to raise my own salary, the Ruelas Foundation’s generous support truly makes this mission possible.”
